A few years ago while browsing the internet, I came across an article on how lack of sleep can lead to obesity in both children and adults. We all know how important sleep is in our daily lives.

But coming from me, who would normally sleep for five hours and still function just fine, I didn't take the article too seriously. It was not until one day my lack of sleep started making everyone else miserable that I decided to fix it.How did it affect those around me? Well, with five hours of sleep, I wasn't getting the healing and oxygen my body needed. I became critical, judicious and touchy.

It's not that I didn't know that sleep was an essential part of everyone's routine and an indispensable part of a healthy lifestyle. Studies have shown that an adequate amount of sleep improved attention, behavior, learning, memory, and overall physical and mental health. And for those who didn't get it, they experienced somewhat the opposite.

Now sleep is one thing and what you were sleeping on was just as important. I had gone from sleep deprived to body ache from whatever I was resting my head on.

Why does it make a difference on what you sleep?

Well, the spine has a natural curve and maintaining proper brace alignment keeps your head, neck, and spine pain-free. Therefore, when you wake up you feel refreshed and better. So a combination of adequate amounts of regular sleep will improve attention, behavior, learning, memory, and overall mental and physical health. When you don't get enough sleep it can lead to high blood pressure, obesity and even depression. So how you sleep and the amount of sleep matters. I decided to invest in a good mattress, pillows, and sheets. So, try to get some good night sleep and avoid other issues that can come with a lack of sleep.
